Forge World Epic terrain????

I have all of it. My collection is complete. Maybe collection is the wrong word. I play with it, on it, supply regional games with it. It is terrain! It does have irreplaceable value to me. But the replacement cost are more in my time painting it. Than actually finding another copy. But another copy wouldn’t have to be an original.
The old catalog show them at an amazing price. Man I was alive and playing back then. Those prices seemed high. 60 and 45 pounds respectfully. High enough I did not buy one then. Kicking myself, yep daily! But are they worth the last auctioned price of 188 pounds?

So the question is. What is the real “No Shit” value of a Cathedral or Tank Factory? For simplicity, lets say bare, complete, undamaged, original.

Don’t start with me “its all about what one is willing to pay!”

Easily one can find them pop up at least 3 times a year on ebay. Once for the Tank Factory. In each case your looking at 300 to a thousand a piece. So if you were an individual with patience and could   hold on to your war gaming budget, all you need to do is wait. But if you are the opportunist, value Vs going rate is a true bitch!

Barring ebay, your mates don’t have one. You would be purchasing from another community member or gobbling up an entire collection. No sane person would let you cherry pick, because in the end they would be stuck with 150 stands of orks and M VI marines.
What about copies? They are available time to time. You would have to know the dude. Not just a name. And then the cast is ????? some what perfect. You won’t get the Cathedral tops to come out. No eagle will be even close to recognizable.

This dumps us back to FEE bay and how much is knock about at any one time. 188 pounds plus 46 pounds for shipping, hell!

"All Stop" continues

As always I am low priority. The family room is first. Let me tell you, True Coat PlusII, fucking get one. Yes, it is expensive, but figure all the BS you would normally use and your time. My time is at a premium!
Painting blows! Not any more. First time using it, I primed the whole room in less then an hour. That includes un-boxing and general monkey business getting it sorted.
It does take a few extra steps for blue taping and prep work. Other wise it is lighting fast. Clean up, is remove excess paint, run one soapy and then a clear water container thru it. Done!

Then last night I did 3 walls in 1/2 an hour including cleaning it.You will notice over spray on the ceiling and the floor in my picture. The floor is getting replaced last and the electrician, surprise, is not done installing the light. So my ceiling is next to last.

Down side, it is a sprayer. There will be over spray. There will be a shit ton of dust. You will notice I covered the entrance. If you don’t, you will end up dusting your whole house. (Fireplace insert was off)

NE Net EA results and pictures

Out of the there BA lists I had drawn up to test. Surprise, never ever did I check my kit. In it was only enough to support one of the builds. I hauled the big bag of armies. Not one, single attack bike in the lot. I played the termie sledge hammer/ dual Baal Pred list as all I was missing was an attack bike.

I got a thumping. BA list issues, no. Worst case of dice hate. I never once made a save in the first game. The second I made two. The 1st game, I shot the lights out. The 2nd, could not hit the barn if the muzzle was against the door.
1st game Knights. The BAs were collapsing the right flank. Termie sledge hammered a knight unit into the foam. After that he made every save and I could n’t. That is when everything went to shit.
2nd game speed freaks. Holy good god there are a butt ton of models. I did not have the numbers to dent that horde. Even if everything shot and hit and killed for 3 turns I would have splashed half the models. Baal predators chew up infantry. They were all stars in the 2nd, followed closely by the DC.

Lessons learned. Baal Predators detachments should be selected in pairs need to be upgraded. Being the enemy’s target of priority. They get picked on and broken in short order.
Assault detachments upgrading to 8 seemed waste full. I ran both an 8 and 6 stand detachments. The end results in engage actions were not worth the points.
Death Company. Animals, unlashed! I took walking DC with the hope that the rhinos would keep them in the fight. They were too slow in the first game and got caught out of position in the second. They need jump packs to remain tactical flexible. Next time I am taking two detachments of DC!
The termie sledge hammer is a straight up shooter. The Vulcan dreads scare the shit out of people think about assaulting the detachment. But the short range makes it difficult to keep them gainful employed. Storm Ravens rule. (I left my redeemers at home and play normal land raiders)
Bike detachment with speeder upgrade never worked for me. I couldn’t master it. This combo I’ll try out a few more times.

I took crap for pictures. The best one was my daughter playing Frozen on the ice table.

Pyrkol Blast Markers

I am not in the business of pushing a product or doing reviews. There is always an exception. Excellent service, amazing product or killer support. Or shity service and generally pissing me off, will earn your ass a rant.
Today I am moved to push PyrKol. These dudes provide the community and tourneys with unheard of outstanding support. Prizes, swag, give aways….etc

Pyrkol

They are a Portugesse company that makes all sorts of markers. Paulo is one of the dudes running it. They provide support for every tourney their products can be used in. The TO gets 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes, swag bags, and a prize for the bottom spot.
Of course my interest is only to replace the crappy card board blast markers. The original ones were great. They have seen better days. Oooo titan shield markers!

It took long to find the glue and get it out of the tube then it did to put them together. I set all the bases on their bags. I did not want to glue them to the glass. My dog could had banged this project out.

With little to no way to actual mark my titans shields or weather the Plasma gun fired. I am using their shield markers and vehicle hit markers. If the lighting bolt was dark blue, it would be perfect. Down the road I thing I would want a base with these magnetize into it.

These all be my new Blast Markers. In descending order, ones, threes, and fives. I think I will need more ones. They make a cooler looking 5. It has smoke and everything. They just came out after I order. Poor me!
