After all that waiting I got blown clean off the table. I did not win a single game. Maybe I should have played a few games with the Tau before taking them out. I was plagued by dumbs moves and choices. Fuck, I was even tabled in my second game.

I went lead diving last week for a mate. In the process pulled out some the things that never got started and never will. Along with copies and doubles from my collection and the collections I bought over the years. I will be having a fire sale of old minis and try to unload some epic items over the weekend. Pulled in close to 300 beans.

Remote Air Field part II

Work on the Air Base continues. A limited number of trees are hard mounted. I need to finish basing them. The fuel tanks or generators need painting

The flak batteries are base coats.

More trees mounted to MDF. I was going to mount the trees directly to the terrain piece, but that would be stupid. It would make the item unplayable and easily damaged as units were stacked on top of trees. Plus I then would not be able to use the trees for something else.

Original FW radar antenna thing broke. Fucker had mini bubbles in it. FW quality!!! I had to steal a 28mm 40K antenna dish thing.

WIP

I have not been doing anything. New girl friend, coaching soccer, busted knee, and I am lazy. I would not say I am burned out. I walk past my room and can’t be bothered or I don’t know where to start. The times I have sat down and painted were enjoyable and I felt that some progress was made. It is kind of like when you start going back to the gym.

The WIP

Romans, my love affair. For years I have been sucked into reading book after book. Even when I switch subject matter, there is at least one book half read somewhere. I am also on a never ending cycle of painting Romans. I don’t think I have ever fielded roman in 28mm. Yet I have painted them for years and years. Sometimes painting them is the easiest way for me to get back on the horse.

No have have not forgotten. Just lost my way. I can not see how I want to represent the army on the table top. And I don’t want to paint an endless group of detachments that never see play. So I am lost for now.

It is time again for MechaniCon. A tourney always gets me out and gaming again.We are at West Chester, PA. I think, maybe I am staying at the Days Inn. Of course playing Net EA.
