Rorasio

Weekend in Rosario.

The Holiday Inn Express is perfect. The rooms are almost the exact same as stateside. My King room was missing the couch. Mine had a chair and a lot of empty space. Breakfast was a feast, both Argentina and American food available. No peanut butter!

We ate and drank our faces off. Rock&Fellers has Patagonia on tap, buy one get one.

Meat Pizza. Subbing the bread for a giant slab of meat with steak fries. It was massive and 240 pesos with beers for 2.

Race day
Adidas blow up store. Pretty cool, heavily staffed, 4 fitting rooms per sex. They had only running stuff and only the newest. Prices were 80 bucks more than Amazon.

Vendor and sponsor lane.
3000 some odd people running the 21k that day. Who knows how many were running the 5k?

Sudan project "Mulazimiyya" part I

The Ansar were not all just Dervish square man dress wearing warriors. Nor were they all the tan, white, grey tunic wearing Beja. In an effort to give the Ansar army some character, I sorted through the minis I had left. The selection of towel head wrap wearing dudes came from Waterloo Dervish, HAT Dervish, and Italeri Arab Warriors. The command figure in metal are from Newline Designs

The Mulazimiyya were a group or warriors within Ansar or Dervish armies. They normally had only red and blue squares with a red towel wrapped around their heads and under the chin.

Wasting time

Shooting, Hunting and bullshitting. Plus aikido and soccer all week. Aikido is killing me! I am walking around like I am 80.

This guy I smuggled down in two different trips, spread over 6 different bags. Pretty sure it is legal (most of it), but didn’t want to deal with the customs retards here.
Originally it was an AirArms 410. Only the block and air cylinder is original. The stock is from Spain. The reg from England, set for 895 with 10.5g pellets. I get 30 shots. The barrel from FX. I had the breach end cut for length and retooled to fit. The front end was cut for me and the guts are all 3d printed. Next time I would print it as one complete piece. The scope, rings, rails gun shop sourced.

It was painted tan stateside. Now that I live in a jungle-ish / river delta with a kyptek stencil from Adepticon and an airbrush, well its greenish.

One of the soccer boys hooked me up with a ride along for an introduction/qualification shoot. I got to assist some new recruits during their training. Thats me in the middle. After the guys were done, I got range time, 300 9mm, a M9 and locally produced 9mm to shoot, plus lunch. The armory M9 was all over the place. I shot the last 100 through a private carry and the local 9mm, DNO.

Graphic. don’t want to see blood, fish, or dead shit, stop here.

Giant fish being held by my father in-law.

Nutria.

Its kind of like a beaver without the flat tail. They are bout 1.5-2 ft in length, 8ish pounds. Pretty tasty, next to no fat. I had one grilled and the other they traditionally pickle it.
Unless the little bastard is sunning himself, this is all you will see. Kill shot is between the eye & ear. The head is about the size of a softball. Maybe a little less.

First one we saw I got the gift of shooting. Miracle shot, from a moving boat while he was swimming, right between the eye and ear. Never in a thousand years could I do it again. Freaky straight up bullshit luck, no more! The third one I was up again and heart/lunged him. Make sure you put a second round in its head. If he is not dead, he has big ass teeth that will scar your sorry ass for life.

Boar more like wild pig. 4 hours of mud and soaking wet feet. Never saw it. Only heard the shot from the right flank. Learn from me if you want pictures of the hunt, airplane mode the phone. Only thing I got is me cooking the left aback leg afterwards.

Sudan project "Ansar warriors" part IV

Jihadiyya Rifles

Taaishi rifles

Taaishi regulars, Up close you can see I have totally ignored the mold lines. There are some many of these little shits, that cleaning the mold lines would take 6 months alone. The number of dudes on a stand and on the table and the distance/size you will never notice.
Yearly goal 700 painted for the Sudan project. 109 done. Not close to the 2 a day required to reach the goal. And not even 20% there yet.
