Here I have change from squares to circles. These circle dudes I picked up at AdeptiCon. Way easier to mass produce, no green stuff, and cost about 5 cents less. Yep a whole 5 cents, for a total Sudan project savings of a whopping 85 cents.

2017 Projects & Goals

Finish the Sudan project. The battle to paint these bastards spills into yet another year. I think it initially started back in 2012. There was no real plan then. Just dudes being painted. I had truly hoped to finish painting both sides in 2015. Being lazy, selling a house, and being stupid (air brush parts) caused the general failure. This year I have some dudes pretty much in the bag and then a big pile of plastic and metal to bang out. 600 plus, Game on!

Finished the 20mm Moderns. Everything I own for modern dudes is in Argentina NOW. I will need a large supply of US nickel coins. They are the individual’s bases. The only way this does not happen is I back burner it.

Add to both the 6mm NetEA Imperial Fists and HH World Eaters armies. Some new fancy China Forge goodies for Xmas and storage dive for the HH WEs. Failure will occur on the WEs if they are totally buried in storage.

Painted the 6mm Desert terrain from Xmas for AdeptiCon and Argentina. Hopefully by March2017 it is complete and sealed!

Start the 15mm ACW project. Everything I own for ACW is in Argentina NOW. Including the bases. The only way this does not happen is I back burner it.

Attend both Cold Wars and AdeptiCon. This one is pretty much in the bag. I have my flights and rooms booked. Transportation for Cold Wars is secure, AdeptiCon is up in the air. Only problem will be accessing storage during the Xmas visit to dig out an army. My Imperial Fists or Tau (maybe bugs?) Most importantly no football injuries. Another MCL and I’ll be wheelchair drunk!

Gaming Try to build an Epic player base in Argentina and host 6 games. (some maybe non Epic)

Painting Only painted 233 last year. What the shit? And I am retired? Since I started counting, 275 was the most painted in one year. I want to double that amount this year! 550 is the goal.

Goals ranked on the actuality of accomplishment. I love painting terrain. Desert terrain could derail the 20mm colonial project. The wargaming CONs are in the bag. The 15mm ACW has and is alway a pipe dream.

Scenarios Book II

Finally its here. RF&F scenario book II. I had seen the rough draft at Historicon. Even got to do a play test down in Fredericksburg. Then sat about waiting and waiting.

Ordered mine last night. This one looks some much better than the draft I saw. The maps are beautiful. Plus there is this guy; Extended Map PDF

Then these showed up on ebay. They got me drooling. Geo-Hex with rivers in the foam.

RF&F ebaying

          Ebaying. There is no way I will ever ever paint enough 15mms to have a game. I can not afford to pay some one to do it. So I am going to buy old collections, armies, crap knocking about.
         This is not my idea. Nope. I straight up stole it from the “BigRedBatCave” dude. He has more Romans then any 6 wealthy people could ever have and he cranks through them. How? He buys painted lots. He fixes up the ebay “PRO” paint jobs. Then rebases the lot.
          So far I bought 1 Army and 2 collections. For the most part the lot is playable and based for RF&F. The most I paid was 3.52 a stand and the lowest 1.27. That is based and painted.
There is no way to calculate the time it would have taken me to complete this much. 800 or so I have spent total, which includes dudes, rules, and terrain, killer deal!

111 Union Infantry stands. Properly based, some done well and some half assed.

151 CSA Infantry stands. Properly based, same deal.

The rest of both.

A few generals, 6 Union Cav, 1 CSA Cav, 3 CSA generals, and 4 horse holders.

The rest some keepers. Then there is the shit that is no where close. I may sell it off. Once the first group goes through the repaint and basing. It may may be more time than I wish to invest.

Fall In

I finally pre registered for HMGS’ Fall In. The games available this year suck. Usually there are two or three games a day, I am tore to choose from. This year there seemed to be only one or two games that I would play in or would want to for the whole weekend.

I guess it is about time I start hosting games!

At least we are back at the Lancaster Host. Yeah it is run down and not fancy modern looking. But the food is better and healthier, the gaming rooms are not so overly loud and you can hear your GM, and its not off fucking I95. We need a new location in Federicksburg or a new city.

The sad part is no Wegmans and the price of beer will remain the same. Those fucktards in Federicksburg never ever charged me the same price for a beer. And when they would charge you the correct price, they gave you too much change back. Southern ed, baby.

RF & F part II

Disordered markers.

The dudes are from Peter Pig. I have mounted them on much higher bases. We drink and play and miss things. No one gets mad, but it sucks all the same. The idea is these tall markers will not, not get missed during the endless shit talking, and glass smacking.

I will finish them off with green flock and tuffs. Yellow for disordered, red for broke, and green (not pictured) for break thru.

Easy to see the difference between the painting My “gaming standard” and the ebay “pro-painted.” Careful what you buy! Sometimes, well most of the time it would be better if they weren’t painted to start with.

RF & F Part 1

Its not like I don’t have enough projects going. Epic city table, FoF, Zombies, Colonials, and M&T. Why not start 15mm Regimetial Fire and Fury too. Well I always play it at the HMGS cons. I have a great time and it would be easy to teach others how to play. The plan is to buy most of it. GeoHex for terrain, and ebay or flee market entire armies.

First go around I picked up painted 15s at 20 cents a dude. They just needed so love and rebasing. It took forever. In that time space I gobbled up more in the same state. This is going to take forever. I should have bloodly well commissioned the whole project.

Anyhow these are the first two units. 8 Stands each. The North got a CMD stand in there. But for the most part I will be focusing on INF stands.
